Zusammenfassung:A tubular catheter wall of a catheter (1) comprises a randomized skeleton (7) having a microfabricated cut pattern (7A) with an overall skeleton cut-away ratio between 40% and 90%. The randomized skeleton (7), which is arranged between an inner liner and an outer laminate, comprises a plurality of interconnected struts (21L-28L, 31L-38L, 21R-28R, 31R-38R). Each strut has a corresponding pair of two mutually opposing longitudinal strut edges (41, 42). Each strut edge (41, 42) has random bends and/or random cusps, which makes each strut unique. The randomly shaped skeleton strut edges not only provide improved mutual bondings between the skeleton, inner liner and outer laminate, but also provide improved torquability of the catheter, including a preventive effect on the occurrence of the whip phenomenon during torquing.
