Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for detecting an occurrence of a predefined driving situation and for identifying a start time and an end time of the predefined driving situation for a journey using an activated driver assistance system for longitudinal control of an ego vehicle (11), wherein the method comprises: detecting (S1) a potential occurrence of the predefined driving situation and identifying the start time when a predefined initial condition is fulfilled; detecting (S2) the occurrence of the predefined driving situation when the potential occurrence of the predefined driving situation has been detected and a predefined condition is fulfilled; and detecting (S3) the end of the occurrence of the predefined driving situation and identifying the end time when the occurrence of the predefined driving situation has been detected and a predefined end condition is fulfilled.
