Zusammenfassung:	An implantable prosthesis may include a substantially planar body (10) and at least one handling aid (55). The handling aid may serve as a grab point to allow an operator (e.g., surgeon) to manipulate the planar body, reducing the risk of applying an undesirable amount of stress or strain on the underlying body. The handling aid may be an embroidered jump stitch such that it may be affixed to the planar body at least at two points, with a central portion being unattached to the plane of the body to provide sufficient clearance to the operator to grasp and handle the aid. In some embodiments, the handling aid may be in the form factor of a thread-like material, a strip, a tube, and/or a pocket. The handling aid may be used in minimally invasive surgeries such as laparoscopic and/or robotic surgeries.
