Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a current measuring resistor (1) for measuring an electric current (I), comprising two plate-shaped connection parts (2, 3), which are made of an electrically conductive conductor material, for introducing or discharging the current (I) to be measured and a plate-shaped resistor element (4), which is made of a low-ohmic resistor material. The resistor element (4) is electrically and mechanically connected to the connection parts (2, 3) and is arranged between the two connection parts (2, 3) in the current flow direction such that the electric current (I) to be measured flows through the resistor element (4). According to the invention, the plate-shaped resistor element (4) is placed on the upper face of the connection parts (2, 3) and overlaps with each of the plate-shaped connection parts (2, 3) in a respective overlap region (7, 8), in particular in a plane-parallel manner.
