Zusammenfassung:A surgical robotic system for use in a minimally invasive surgical procedure includes a trocar for facilitating passage of a surgical instrument into a body cavity. The surgical trocar has a memory having stored therein information about the surgical trocar, and a conductive coil configured to inductively couple to another conductive coil in a surgical robotic arm, whereby the conductive coil of the surgical trocar communicates the information about the surgical trocar to the conductive coil of the surgical robotic arm.
