Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a network-operable electric tool with a network connection, a rectifier which is arranged downstream of the network connection, and an electric motor with a motor stage arranged upstream, wherein the rectifier and the motor stage are connected via an intermediate circuit which has a smoothing capacitor connected in parallel to the rectifier and a switching branch connected in parallel to the rectifier, wherein the switching branch has an additional capacitor that can be discharged as needed via a discharge circuit, which is part of the intermediate circuit, by means of a switch element, which is part of the switching branch, and the intermediate circuit has a precharge circuit, by means of which an offset voltage of the additional capacitor is set or can be set.
