The invention relates to an electrolyzer (2) with a plurality of cell elements (4), and with a feed pipe (6) and a discharge pipe (8) for feeding and discharging electrolyte to and from the cell elements (4), wherein the feed pipe (6) and/or the discharge pipe (8) have, at least in some sections, at least two electrically isolated part-lines (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, 12e), wherein the part-lines (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, 12e) extend in the feed pipe (6) over a predetermined length (L) in the opposite direction to the direction of electrolyte flow (E) and/or extend in the discharge pipe (8) over a predetermined length (L) in the same direction as the direction of electrolyte flow (E).
