Zusammenfassung: | Disclosed herein are methods of forming a soil amendment, the method comprising: a. providing a carbon dioxide source; b. adsorbing carbon dioxide from the carbon dioxide source with sodium oxide of sodium bentonite clay to form a first sodium carbonate; c. reacting sodium bentonite clay with an olivine magnesium silicate to form magnesium carbonate and sodium silicate; d. reacting the sodium silicate with carbon dioxide to form a second sodium carbonate and silicon dioxide; and e. forming the soil amendment by combining the generated magnesium carbonate and the silicon dioxide, where steps c) and d) continue in a continuous fashion until the olivine magnesium silicate is consumed. |
