Zusammenfassung:	A method can include constructing a numerical model of a material matrix, where the numerical model includes cells; performing a simulation of physical phenomena with respect to time using the numerical model; during the performing, analyzing one of the cells as to physical characteristics of the material matrix; and, responsive to the analyzing and during the performing, assigning one or more properties to the cell that indicate failure of the material matrix of the cell without removing the cell from the numerical model.
