The present invention also relates to a liquid phase comprising a plurality of such microspheres. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method for capturing a nucleic acid from a sample and to a method of amplifying a nucleic acid from a sample. The present invention also relates to the use of a plurality of microspheres in an assay for the detection of multiple nucleic acid analytes.
