Zusammenfassung:	There is described a grouping apparatus (5,5') for generating groups (G) of packages (2) filled with a pourable product according to a desired pattern; the grouping apparatus comprises an inlet for receiving a plurality of packages (2) at an inlet station (8), a plurality of carriers (9), each one configured to carry in a non-moveable manner at least one package (2) and configured to receive at least one package (2) at the inlet station (8); and a planar motor (10) configured to selectively and independently control the advancement of the carriers (9).The planar motor (10) is configured to control the advancement of the plurality of carriers (9) carrying, in use, at least one respective package (2) in dependence of the desired pattern of each group (G) and such that a set (C) of carriers (2) are arranged and oriented with respect to one another such that the respective packages (2) are positioned according to the desired pattern.
