The priming device (40, 160) includes a Venturi tube (46, 128, 130, 132) having a motive fluid inlet (48), a suction inlet (44, 114, 116, 118) and a fluid outlet (50); a motive fluid source configured to provide a pressurized fluid to the motive fluid inlet (48) of the Venturi tube (46, 128, 130, 132) and configured to provide a reduced pressure at the suction inlet (44, 114, 116, 118) of the Venturi tube (46, 128, 130, 132); and an ejection head sealing device (58), being in fluid flow communication with an ejection head (20, 166) of a fluid cartridge (10) and the suction inlet (44, 114, 116, 118) of the Venturi tube (46, 128, 130, 132).
