Zusammenfassung:	The medical apparatus (1) includes a driving source (M), a base unit (200) including a coupling portion (21c) connected to the driving source (M), a bendable unit (100) including a bending portion (12), and a linear member (W) configured to bend the bending portion (12) by being driven by the driving source (M) through the coupling portion (21c), an operation portion (400), and a deceleration mechanism (350) including an output member (252) that is driven by a force transmitted from the operation portion (400). The coupling portion (21c) includes a retaining portion (21ch) configured to be transited between a retaining state and a releasing state, and a switching portion (21cp) configured to be moved by the output member (252) and configured to switch the retaining portion (21ch) between the retaining state and the releasing state. In a case where the operation portion (400) is moved for a first movement amount, the output member (252) is configured to be moved for a second movement amount that is smaller than the first movement amount.
