Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a rotary-type closing device (1) for closing containers (20) with closure lids, comprising a rotationally motor-driven rotor (2) with a plurality of closing elements (3) located on the periphery of the rotor (2). The present invention is characterized in that the closing device (1) has a ring channel (21), which corotates with the rotor (2), and/or has a rotary distributor (22), and in that, for at least one of the closing elements (3), a cleaning device (19) which moves together with the closing element (3) is provided, the cleaning device opening into a free space (18) within a housing (12) of the closing element (3) and being able to be supplied with cleaning fluid from the ring channel (21) and/or with cleaning fluid from the rotary distributor (22).
