The display element (1) has a display assembly (2) with a display panel (3) and a backlight (4) arranged behind the display panel (3). The display element (1) also comprises a stabilizing assembly (5) with a recess (50) for receiving the display assembly (2) and a decorative film (6) which is fixed to at least one upper side (51) of the stabilizing assembly (5) and extends over the recess (50) for the display assembly (2).
