Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for coating a printed material web (1), in which method, in the order specified, the material web (1) is drawn off a supply roll (2), and, first, a first resin coating is applied onto one side in a first coating apparatus (7), the material web (1) is then guided through a breathing section (9) and is subsequently coated with resin on both sides in a second coating apparatus (8), and the material web (1) is subsequently dried, cooled and wound up or cut to form sheets. The aim of the invention is to improve the method in such a way that it can be carried out in a simple and clean manner and yields an improved quality of the product. This aim is achieved in that the first coating is applied to a printed side of the material web (1) and in that the coated printed side runs contactlessly through the breathing section (9).
