In the frequency hopping communication method, in a process of communication between a primary device and a secondary device, when a frequency hopping sequence needs to be switched, it is ensured that a frequency used for each frequency hopping remains unchanged, and there are M reserved channels between a first frequency hopping sequence and a second frequency hopping sequence, so that the primary device switches from the second frequency hopping sequence to the first frequency hopping sequence at a time point of frequency hopping switching, and performs frequency hopping communication with the secondary device based on the first frequency hopping sequence. Even if the secondary device still performs frequency hopping communication with the primary device by using the second frequency hopping sequence, because there are the M same channels between the first frequency hopping sequence and the second frequency hopping sequence, there is still an M/N probability that the primary device and the secondary device can effectively communicate with each other, so that a probability of successful communication between the primary device and the secondary device is effectively ensured, and stability of a communication link between the primary device and the secondary device is ensured. |
