Zusammenfassung:	Embodiments of the present application provide a shell, a battery cell, a battery, and an electricity consuming device. The shell includes a body part, a thickened part connected to the body part and arranged at the opening of the shell, at least a portion of the thickened part having a wall thickness larger than that of the body part, in which the thickened part is provided with a support part for supporting the cover that closes the opening. With the thickened part disposed in the shell in the embodiments of the present application, the size of the support part can be reasonably tailored to ensure the support effect for the cover. Moreover, even if the support part is formed by grooving on the shell to support the cover that covers and closes the opening, the remaining size of the thickened part after the formation of the support part can still be large, which can improve the structural strength of the shell and thereby improve the deformation problem of the shell. Furthermore, due to the still large remaining size of the thickened part after the formation of the support part, when the cover is welded to the thickened part provided with the support part, the welding strength of the shell and the cover can be enhanced.
