| Zusammenfassung: | A device (6) for monitoring an anchor (4) for a water vessel is disclosed. The device comprises means (32, 34, 36, 38) for measuring properties relating to the orientation and/or movement of the anchor (4) to yield measurement data, and means (52, 54) for transmitting the measurement data from the device to a receiver unit (10) for use with the water vessel (1). The transmitting means (52, 54) comprises an acoustic transmitter (54). The acoustic transmitter is arranged to transmit an acoustic signal through a rode (3) between the anchor (4) and the water vessel (1). This may provide a convenient and cost-effective way of transmitting data. |
