Zusammenfassung: | A propulsion system (4) includes a turbine engine (10), and a ramjet engine (6), a fuel storage tank (90) that stores a fuel (92), such as an ammonia-based fuel, a heat exchanger (70) through which the fuel (92) passes to obtain gaseous (or supercritical) fuel components (98, 102) of the fuel (92), and a separator (72) that separates the gaseous fuel components (98, 102) into a first fuel component (98) and a second fuel component (102). The first fuel component (98) is provided to the ramjet engine (6) for ramjet combustion and/or to the turbine engine (10) for turbine combustion, in a high speed operating state (1005) of the propulsion system (4), while the second fuel component (102) may be provided to an inlet (60) of the turbine engine (10) for the turbine combustion. |
