The at least one processor is set to: identify at least one external electronic device, registered in an application stored in the electronic device, when the application is executed; identify at least one communication protocol supported by the at least one external electronic device among a plurality of set communication protocols; and adjust a scan time corresponding to a first communication protocol among the plurality of set communication protocols on the basis of the at least one communication protocol that has been identified.
