Zusammenfassung:A control unit (30) for executing a control method for controlling a wire electrical discharge machine (10) comprises: a machining control unit (310) for carrying out first machining (PA) on a first machining object (WA), suspending the first machining if an interruption is necessary, carrying out second machining (PB) on a second machining object (WB), and resuming the first machining after the second machining ends; a timing unit (320) for timing a first period (TA1) from the start to the suspension of the first machining, and a second period (TA2) from the resumption to the end of the first machining; and a machining time calculation unit (330) for calculating a first total time (TA) required for the first machining.
