METHOD FOR CLEANING VEHICLE SENSORS

The invention relates to a method for cleaning (1) at least one sensor (20) of a vehicle (2) having a surface (200) to be cleaned, comprising the steps of: * - detecting (El) whether the surface of the at least one sensor is dirty, * - triggering (E2) a cleaning counter (21) if the surface is dirty, * - activating (E3) a primary cleaning phase (phi) based on at least one cleaning parameter (pl), * - executing (E4) the primary cleaning phase, * - checking (E5) whether the surface is clean, * - if the surface is clean after the primary cleaning phase, resetting (E6) the cleaning counter and stopping (E7) the primary cleaning phase from being executed, * - otherwise incrementing (E8) the cleaning counter and, if it is less than a primary threshold (thl), repeating the primary cleaning phase, * - if the cleaning counter is equal to the primary threshold, stopping the primary cleaning phase from being executed and activating (Eli) a secondary cleaning phase (ph2) with the at least one modified cleaning parameter, * - executing (E12) the secondary cleaning phase, * - checking whether the surface is clean, * - if the surface is clean, following the secondary cleaning phase, resetting (E14) the cleaning counter and stopping (E15) the secondary cleaning phase from being executed, * - otherwise incrementing (E16) the cleaning counter and, if it is less than a secondary threshold (th2), repeating (El?) the secondary cleaning phase and, if the cleaning counter is equal to the secondary threshold, resetting the cleaning counter (E18), stopping (E19) the secondary cleaning phase from being executed and performing (E20) a function (fl) for securing the vehicle.
