Zusammenfassung:The disclosure relates to a fifth generation (5G) or sixth generation (6G) communication system. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes selecting a stand-alone non-public network (SNPN) based on at least one of whether the SNPN supports a public warning system (PWS) or whether the SNPN supports an emergency call, transmitting, to a base station within the selected SNPN, a registration request message including information associated with supporting the PWS, and receiving, from the base station, a registration accept message.
