The invention relates to a domestic appliance assembly (1) with a drinking water cooling unit (2) and a housing (3) in which the drinking water cooling unit (2) is arranged. The housing (3) has walls (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11) that delimit a volume area (4) in which the drinking water cooling unit (2) is arranged. The housing (3) has a base which has a lower faceplate (3a) when viewed in the vertical direction (y) of the assembly (1) and an upper faceplate (8) that is offset upwards in the vertical direction (y) relative to the lower faceplate (9). The upper faceplate (8) is arranged at a distance from the lower faceplate (9) towards the front when viewed in the depth direction (z) of the assembly (1) so that a ventilation gap (16) is formed between the upper and the lower faceplate (8, 9). The drinking water cooling unit (2) has an exhaust air channel (20) for discharging coolant gas generated by the drinking water cooling unit, and the exhaust air channel (20) has an outlet opening (21) which is arranged above the ventilation gap (16) in the vertical direction (y), a longitudinal axis (A) of the outlet opening (21) being oriented towards the ventilation gap (16).
