The machine has one or more of the following devices: a device (112) for cutting or perforating a material web (160); a cutting device for cutting energy cell segments (207) from a continuous web (205); an individualizing device (301) for cutting and individualizing energy cell segments (306) from a supplied continuous web (305); a cell stacking system (401) and/or a cell stacking device (408) for energy cell segments (416), as well as a sub-device thereof and a corresponding sub-method; a processing device for processing energy cell segments (501); a device (609; 636, 637) for combining and/or processing a pouch film (603) and a cell stack (604); a device for removing or branching off product segments (782) from a product flow of the energy cell production industry; a device for producing an intermediate product (810), comprising a conductor foil (811, 815), a contact lug (813, 817), and at least one holding lug (814, 818), and/or a device for handling an intermediate product (810) by means of the holding lug (814, 818); and a device for producing a sealed pouch (910) with a temporary seal seam (913) and/or a device for undoing and/or separating the temporary seal seam (913) of the pouch (910).
