Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus for analysing a biological sample for diagnostics purposes includes a sample cartridge receptacle for receiving a sample cartridge for holding the biological sample. The sample cartridge includes at least two sample reaction zones for containing the biological sample. At least one light source for illuminating the at least two sample reaction zones of a sample cartridge when received in the sample cartridge receptacle. At least two measurement sections each arranged to perform measurements on a respective sample reaction zone when received in the sample cartridge receptacle, where each measurement section includes a light detector for receiving light illuminated onto the respective sample reaction zone by the at least one light source. A processing unit for controlling the at least one light source and for receiving data from the measurement sections.
