The system (102) comprising: vehicle equipment (104) being integral to the vehicle (100); add-on equipment (106) associated with the vehicle (100); a control system (114) configured to determine a first set of add-on equipment parameters (116) pertaining to a first state (118) of the add-on equipment and to determine a second set of vehicle parameters (122) pertaining to a second state (124) of the vehicle equipment (104); the vehicle logbook (126) for logging data; and a data communication module (128) configured to transfer (130) the first (116) and second (122) set of parameters to the digital vehicle logbook (126) for storing the first (116) and second (122) set of parameters.
