The wireless device may determine a communication profile of an application of the wireless device with the network. The wireless device may determine a type of motion of the wireless device. The wireless device may determine an operating mode for the wireless device's communications with the network, according to the communication profile and the type of motion. The wireless device may transmit a message to the network to cause the operating mode to be configured for the wireless device's communications with the network.
