Zusammenfassung:	A system for facilitating a software update is provided. The system includes a payment terminal, a mobile device, and a remote server. The payment terminal displays, via a screen, a QR code. The QR code includes terminal data corresponding to the payment terminal. The mobile device captures the QR code displayed on the payment terminal, generates an update initiation command based at least in part on the terminal data of the QR code, and transmits the update initiation command. The remote server receives the update initiation command transmitted by the mobile device and transmits a software package to the mobile device in response to receiving the update initiation command. The mobile device then transmits, via a wired or wireless connection, the software package to the payment terminal. The payment terminal then installs the software package.
