ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREFOR, BATTERY CELL, BATTERY, AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE

The present application discloses an electrode assembly and a preparation method therefor, a battery cell, a battery, and an electronic device. The electrode assembly comprises a first electrode sheet, a separator, and a second electrode sheet. The first electrode sheet comprises a first electrode sheet main body and a first tab. The first electrode sheet main body comprises two first electrode sheet edges that are disposed opposite one another in a first direction and two second electrode sheet edges that are disposed opposite one another in a second direction. The first direction is perpendicular to the second direction. The first tab is located at one first electrode sheet edge. In the electrode assembly of embodiments of the present application, the separator between the first electrode sheet and the second electrode sheet forms a multi-layer separator structure. Projection in a third direction causes the multi-layer separator structure to overlap with the first electrode sheet edge and/or the second electrode sheet edge. The third direction is perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction, thereby alleviating the problem of short circuiting caused by expansion of the electrode sheet when the battery is in use.
