Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a composite material for neutron shielding and for maintaining subcriticality that is obtained from a formulation comprising: 100 parts by weight of a composition comprising, the weight percentages being with respect to the total weight of the composition: from 30 wt.% to 45 wt.% of a thermosetting resin selected from a polyester resin and a vinyl ester resin, from 23 wt.% to 58 wt.% of an inorganic filler, the inorganic filler comprising at least one hydrogen compound and at least one boron compound, and from 12 wt.% to 32 wt.% of a polyolefin or an olefinic copolymer; from 0.3 parts by weight to 1.4 parts by weight of a polymerisation initiator; and from 0.3 parts by weight to 1.4 parts by weight of a polymerisation accelerator. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing this composite material and to the use of said material. |
