Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for monitoring a temperature of a battery (10), comprising the steps of: detecting a sensor temperature (21a) by means of a temperature sensor (11) at a first location (1) of the battery (10), determining a gradient (5) of a temporal temperature profile (21) of the sensor temperature, and determining a core temperature (22a) at a second location (2) within the battery (10) based on the gradient (5) and previously known warming data (50) of the battery (10), wherein the warming data (50) are stored items of information which are based on a model test with a comparison battery.
