METHOD FOR DESIGNING OR CONFIGURING A PROCESS, TECHNICALLY FUNCTIONAL GUI, SYSTEM COMPRISING A PROCESSOR UNIT, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT

The invention relates to a method, GUI, and system for designing or configuring a chemical or technical process and to an interaction between a user and a multi-criteria optimization tool. The method has the steps of providing a value of a first design variable (xl, x2,..., xD) of the process; providing a value of a first characteristic (yl, y2,..., yK) and a value of a second characteristic (yl, y2,..., yK), wherein the values of the characteristics (yl, y2,..., yK) are formed on the basis of the value of the first design variable (xl, x2,..., xD); providing a Pareto front (10) for the two characteristics (yl, y2,..., yK); and ascertaining a deviation of the value of the first characteristic (yl, y2,..., yK) at a point (11, 12,..., 16) of the Pareto front (10) and/or ascertaining a deviation of the value of the second characteristic (yl, y2,..., yK) at the point (11, 12,..., 16) of the Pareto front (10).
