Zusammenfassung:	Provided in embodiments of the present application are a battery, a power consuming apparatus, and a method and apparatus for manufacturing a battery. The battery includes: a battery cell group including a plurality of battery cells arranged in a first direction; an enclosure including a first beam and a second beam that are arranged at an interval in the first direction, where the battery cell group is arranged between the first beam and the second beam, at least one of the first beam and the second beam is a locking beam, and a wedge-shaped gap is provided between the locking beam and the battery cell group; and a wedge-shaped component configured to fill the wedge-shaped gap, so as to lock the battery cell group to the enclosure. The technical solution described above can improve stiffness and strength of the battery, thereby improving performance of the battery.
