VERY EFFICIENT PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF AGOMELATINE
The present invention is directed to a very efficient process for the preparation of Agomelatine wherein the intermediate 7-methoxynaphtalenacetonitrile is reduced by Lithium Aluminium hydride in presence of a Lewis acid.
