Zusammenfassung:	A hydraulic drive device (100), wherein a mechanical friction brake (124, 132, 134) is implemented within a gerotor hydraulic motor (113). Orbital movement of a gerotor star (118) is transformed into rotational movement of a set of brake pads (132) via a brake hub (124). Rotational movement of a gerotor outer ring (114) is transferred to another set of brake pads (134). The two sets of brake pads (132, 134) are axially pressed together to brake the gerotor motor (113). Braking force to compress the brake pads is applied via a spring force (138) and removed by transferring the motor's operating pressure to a brake piston (136) via a release member (139, 201) extending through a central shaft (130) and the brake hub (124).
