METHOD FOR OPERATING A ROLL STAND

The invention relates to a method for operating a roll stand (150) for rolling a metal strip, with at least one lateral guide rule (350) for guiding the metal strip. Seen in the direction of transport of the metal strip, the at least one lateral guide rule is located on both sides, in the entry region and/or in the exit region of the roll stand. In order that the force or position setpoint values for the control of the lateral guide rules (350) can be determined better, in comparison with the prior art, with a view to preventing crooking of the metal strip in the exit region of the roll stand, the force or position setpoint values for the control of the lateral guide rules are calculated in accordance with the actual wedge already determined for the pivot position control and/or in accordance with the determined actual offset.
