Zusammenfassung: | An electrical protection assembly includes a semiconductive gap-assisted (SGA) fuse assembly forming an overcurrent protection circuit. The SGA fuse assembly includes a fuse element and a semiconductive gap assembly electrically connected in series with the fuse element. The semiconductive gap assembly includes: a first gap electrode and an opposing second gap electrode; a trigger gap defined between the first and second gap electrodes; and a semiconductive member disposed in the trigger gap. The semiconductive member is configured to assist in initiation of an electrical arc flashover across the trigger gap between the first and second gap electrodes responsive to an overvoltage developed across the first and second gap electrodes. |
