Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for testing the seal integrity of a tank system (1), wherein a tank has a first chamber (3) with a first pressure sensor (7) and a second chamber (5) with a second pressure sensor (9), the chambers (3, 5) are connected by a passage valve (11) and a pump connection (13), and the tank is connected to an outer valve (17). The method has the steps of: - pumping (S1) fuel from the first chamber (3) into the second chamber (5) using a pump (15) while the outer valve (17) and the passage valve (11) are closed such that a negative pressure is built up in the first chamber (3) and a positive pressure is built up in the second chamber (5), - opening (S3) the passage valve (11) and checking whether the pressure difference is decreasing, and - checking (S4) whether the pressure in the first chamber (3) and the pressure in the second chamber (5) completely match for a long period of time.
