A WC basket (1) having at least one holding device (10) with which the WC basket (1) can be secured on an upper edge of a toilet bowl, and having a container region (50) which has at least one container (51) for receiving a WC active substance, wherein the holding device (10) and the container region (50) are thermoformed from a plastic film, and wherein the holding device (10) has at least one inner web (11) which, in the position of use of the WC basket (1), extends from the upper edge of the toilet bowl as far as the container region (50), characterized in that the inner web (11) has stabilizing means for obtaining a flexural stiffness such that, when the WC basket (1) is secured on the upper edge, a force with which the container region (50) is pressed in the direction of a side wall of the toilet bowl can be derived from a securing force that acts on the inner web (11).
