Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates, inter alia, to a method for producing rod-shaped products for the tobacco processing industry, in particular multi-segment filters, which have a predetermined constant product length; wherein the produced rod-shaped products are wrapped with a wrapping material; wherein the produced rod-shaped products each comprise a segment group (120) having a plurality, in particular three or more than three, of rod-shaped segments, each of which has a segment length and which are arranged next to and spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction of the rod-shaped products; wherein the total of the individual segment lengths of the rod-shaped segments (21, 22) for a given rod-shaped product is smaller than the predetermined constant product length of the rod-shaped products.
