Zusammenfassung: | A method of performing a medical imaging process is described. The method comprises the step of dividing a computing task (T) of a medical imaging system unit (1) into a set (S) of sub-tasks (T1, ..., Tn), wherein the computing task (T) is related to a generation of medical image data based on measurement data. The method also comprises the step of selecting at least one sub-task (Tk) of the set (S) of sub-tasks (T1, ..., Tn) for external execution. Further, the method includes the step of exchanging a sequence (S-TDS) of signal including task delegation signals (TDS) with a plurality of remote computing units (2), preferably via a distribution (3) unit for selecting at least one of the remote computing units (2) for execution of the selected at least one sub-task (Tk), whereby the sequence (S-TDS) of signals comprises at least one request signal (RS) sent by the medical imaging system unit (1). The method also comprises the step of outsourcing the at least one selected sub-task (Tk) to the selected remote computing unit (2) for remotely generating a computing result (CRk) of the at least one selected sub-task (Tk). The method also comprises the step of receiving the generated computing result (CRk) from the selected remote computing unit (2) and also the step of completing the computing task (T) with the computing result (CRk) received from the selected remote computing unit (2). Further, some sort of award or compensation is awarded as a result of successful task execution to the selected remote computing unit (2). Further, a method for executing a sub-task (Tk) of a remote medical imaging system unit (1) is described. Furthermore, a method for distributed executing a medical imaging process of a medical imaging system (10) is described. Besides, a medical imaging system unit (1) is described.
