COMMUNICATION METHOD AND DEVICE

This application relates to a communication method and apparatus. A first concatenated data packet is obtained, where the first concatenated data packet includes N original data packets, N is an integer greater than or equal to 2, and the first concatenated data packet is associated with a first count value. A second concatenated data packet is sent, where the second concatenated data packet is obtained by performing integrity protection and/or encryption on the first concatenated data packet. In embodiments of this application, the first concatenated data packet can be associated with the first count value, so that the first concatenated data packet can also have a corresponding count value like the original data packet, and both a transmit end and a receive end of the second concatenated data packet can perform processing such as ordering or retransmission on the second concatenated data packet based on the first count value.
