Zusammenfassung:	This sealed battery is provided with a bottomed tubular outer can for accommodating an electrode body, and a sealing body for sealing an opening part of the outer can. The outer can has a gas exhaust valve (40) which ruptures when the pressure inside the battery reaches a predetermined value. The gas exhaust valve (40) includes a plurality of linear grooves (32). The sealed battery is characterized in that: the cross-sectional shape of the grooves (32) is a tapering shape in which the width of open ends (32a) on the side of the surface of the outer can is shorter than the width of the bottom (32b); the grooves (32) have at least one crossing part (33); and the crossing part (33) has a flat section (34) in the bottom.
