An image projection device includes a light source 10, a control unit 50 configured to generate an image light beam based on image data and control emission of the image light beam from the light source, a scanning unit 12 that is attached to a frame to be worn on a face of a user and two-dimensionally scans the image light beam emitted from the light source, a light guide member 30 that is attached to the frame and disposed in front of an eye of the user, is formed of a glass material through which image light beams emitted from the scanning unit at different times pass, has a plurality of reflection surfaces that reflect the image light beams, converges the image light beams reflected by the plurality of reflection surfaces at a convergence point 62 in the eye of the user, and then irradiates a retina with the converged image light beams, a reflection mirror 20 that is attached to the frame and converges the plurality of image light beams emitted from the scanning unit at a convergence point 60 before the light guide member and then causes the image light beams to enter the light guide member, and a lens 24 that is disposed at the convergence point 60 and causes the image light beams to enter a last reflection surface as diffusion light.
