Zusammenfassung:An aerosol-generating device is provided, including: a heating chamber configured to receive an aerosol-forming substrate; and a heater assembly configured to heat the aerosol-forming substrate, the heater assembly including a photonic device configured to generate a beam of electromagnetic radiation, the aerosol-generating device being configured to heat the aerosol-forming substrate by directing the beam of electromagnetic radiation onto the aerosol-forming substrate, and the heating chamber being arranged between the photonic device and a mouth-end of the aerosol-generating device with respect to a longitudinal axis of the aerosol-generating device. An aerosol-generating system including the aerosol-generating device and an aerosol-generating article is also provided.
