Zusammenfassung:	An image display apparatus includes an imager that captures an image of an area adjacent to a vehicle, a gaze point detector that detects a position of a gaze point of an observer seated on a seat of the vehicle, an image display located on an obstructive object obstructing an outside view of the observer, an image data generator that generates, based on captured image data output from the imager, image data of an image corresponding to the outside view of the observer obstructed by the obstructive object, and a display device that causes the image data to be displayed on the image display. The imager changes a resolution of the imager based on the position of the gaze point.
