An electronic device according to an embodiment of the disclosure may include an image sensor including a color filter array of a first pattern and a pixel array disposed the color filter array and at least one processor electrically connected to the image sensor. The image sensor may obtain first image data corresponding to the first pattern through the pixel array, obtain second image data by converting the first image data to correspond to a second pattern distinct from the first pattern, obtain characteristic information related to the first image data, and provide the second image data and the characteristic information to the at least one processor. The at least one processor may obtain an image frame based on the second image data provided by the image sensor, and control exposure of a camera including the image sensor based on the characteristic information provided by the image sensor.
