Verfahren mit einem redundanten Sicherheitssystem (2) und redundantes Sicherheitssystem (2) für eine mobile Maschine (1), mit mindestens einer Steuerung (7), mit einem ersten Lokalisierungssystem (3) zur Ortung einer Position mindestens eines Sicherheitsortes, mit einem Erfassungssystem (11) zur Erfassung eines Merkmals des Sicherheitsortes (6), wobei mittels dem Lokalisierungssystem (3) eine Position (9) des Sicherheitsortes (6) erfassbar ist, und mittels dem Erfassungssystem (11) ein Merkmal des Sicherheitsortes (8) erfassbar ist, wobei bei Erfassung der Position (9) des Sicherheitsortes (6) und des Merkmals des Sicherheitsortes (6) mittels der Steuerung (7) ein zu dem Sicherheitsort (6) zugehöriger Sicherheitsbereich (8) aktivierbar ist.
